About Jeremy Kushner

I grew up in a place where crime rates were high and all sorts of things were constantly going missing from the yard, the shed and sometimes even from inside our house. The funniest thing that has been stolen from me were the light bulbs from the porch! I learned the value of home security practices from an early age and I hope this blog will help others keep their valuables and feel safe at home.

  1. Just got ADT alarm installed, did not research this, just realized that they overcharged for the equipment what’s your take on this? today is the last day that I can cancel

  2. Hi Armando, I didn’t see your comment earlier. The deal with ADT is that they only work through resellers and the price will depend on the reseller that you choose. For example, in our reviews we specifically researched Protect Your Home which is one of their biggest resellers (if not the biggest one) and thus offers very competitive pricing. If you choose to cancel with your current reseller your information will still be in the ADT systems and the next reseller you apply with might decline you because of the cancellation. On the other hand, there are plenty of other companies on the market so you could eventually get a much better deal with someone else. Please let us know what you decided and how everything played out for you!
