Let’s start with a look at wireless camera frequencies. Three common types are available to consumers: 900MHz, 2.4 Ghz, and 5.8 Ghz. In general, the lower the frequency number, the more powerful the wireless camera. The increased power that accompanies a lower frequency means that your camera signal will be able to more effectively reach and pass through walls and other objects with the potential to block imaging. Higher frequency camera frequencies will be less likely to create a signal that reaches through walls and solid objects; and you may need to purchase additional high frequency wireless cameras to be sure your property is fully monitored.
